Due to the pandemic, many countries apply many rules such as PCR test and quarantine for international travels. IATA travel pass which is a digital passport aplication has been designed by IATA to make international travels more safer.
Passengers traveling in line with the rules set by both countries and airlines will have reliable access to all health and vaccine informations through this application. Emirates becomes one of the first airlines to use this application. This application will also allow passengers to manage their travel documents digitally on during their travels easily.
The application is currently in pilot trial phase. Emirates will conduct phase 1 implementation in Dubai to validate PCR tests before fully implementing the application. At this stage scheduled on April, Emirates passengers who are traveling from Dubai will share their test results with airline via the application and the informations will be entered into the check-in system automatically.
